God Bless these folks. I was not a believer in making sure that all addicted people received help however after seeing a Chemical Engineer who knew, had all the knowledge possible, to make sure he got off of the path he was on did not stop and could not stop this force.

It was if his brain had been "HIJACKED"....with a former "Miss Florida" for a wife and two gifted children he died from this disease. Yes, disease another term I was sure did not apply. We need to come together a one nation of people of all race, creed and religeon and help people who are suffering and I do mean suffering. I watched him change over a few year's time. He would not go back into a treatment facility because of the conditions. He suffered a broken back after fighting with other patients who then got a group together to ensure he would not be able to fight back again. This as he explained was due to understaffing of the facility. There were simply not enough people on staff to protect the person who was really trying to recover as opposed to those who were there to bring there tolerance level down to a level where they were able to enjoy their high again.

We need to all help fund these centers and then watch them to ensure they are not of the type where they hold people based on their insurance coverage. He asked that I help him get that message out to the public. There were young kids in there who were doing fine but their parents were told they needed to stay longer and it seemed that there stay always matched the number of days left on their parents insurance policies.

Lucky for my cerebral friend he was also a competitive Kick Boxer who fought in the growing company called the UFC. This is a martial arts division that holds an excellent arena where people like my friend who those who follow the sport and watch the UFC would recognize immediately get to showcase their skills. He did begin is pain killer abuse while being injured while fighting but as he said all the time, he hurt himself worse "changing his son's diaper" when the changing table broke.....

I will miss him greatly..To those folks who hurt him, all 5 of you in the understaffed treatment center I did look into the incidedents I it looks as though you picked the wrong person to pick on and ask for drugs. I saw to concussions that were the result of "spinning back fists".

God Bless All of You, sorry for rambling and the poor spelling and grammar but there are tears running down my face as I think of my friend and his wife and family, who are without him now.

Terry Keith you are correct it is not the pusher or even the addicts fault, it is ours for not treating this like all other diseases in a hospital setting with real care.....
