Be Unreasonable in Drug Rehab
May 3rd, 2007 by Terry Keith
Before you entered a drug and alcohol rehab center your dreams and desire for a fantastic life had drifted away from you. Most likely the main components of your life revolved around finding your drug of choice and covering your tracks about some of your behaviors involved in this. You were in a day to day, and moment be moment existance. Then you made a better choice and moved on into drug rehab. Then comes a time where reality sets in. Realization of the damage you have done to your life and the life of others around you.
This is followed by a truly great day in drug rehab. The day you decide to point your focus forward and move ahead with your life. You may think the damage you have done is so permanent and you have wasted so much time with drug and alcohol addiction that you may have lost a lot of the oringinal choices you had in your life. This is just not true. You must be an unreasonable person at this moment. It does not matter what has happene in your life before going into drug and alcohol rehab. It doesn't matter how much time or money you think you have, you must not change your dreams to suit reality. Your task is to change reality to suit your dreams.
Intially this may seem impossible, but believe and head in that direction anyway. Have the courage to head towards what you want. Have the courage to be unreasonable. Everything in life is created by unreasonalbe people. All the things in the past that couldn't be do but were later built anyway, was done by unreasonable women and men. Yes you have to feed and clothe yourself. I don't care what lousy job you have to do this moment. There are still one, two or five things you can do today to work towards what you really what to be and accomplish. Be unreasonalbe in this area of your life, and drug rehab is a great place to start this habit.
